we were gunna go, but had a last minute issue come up.
how many bottles of Maalox do you think Axlerod has gone through today seeing scenes like this?
HAHAHAHA hilarious
How many cases of Depends do you think he’s gone through in the last two weeks?.
Maybe things look not so good in Ohio? I think this is a hail mary shot. Not even Reagan landslide in ’84 turned MN.
Pssss. See earlier blog post regarding Axelrod’s response to Wallace on EV. The whole Ohio thing is a mute point.
Well, Axelrod was mute, that’s for sure.
If it’s a Hail Mary why are the Dems frantically trying to shore it up as well? (And PA, and MI)
Apart from very unconvincing “we’re playing along with their head fake!” stuff from Axelrod and Co, nobody can seem to answer that one.
live_free: Maybe things aren’t looking so good for Obama in OH? Why else would he be in PA, NH, WI, IA, etc. at this late in the game? I thought they were all locks (snickers).
I live in MN and the only reason MN didn’t turn in 84 is because Mondale is a hometown boy, and for some stupid reason MN feels the need to pump up their own, even if it’s undeserved. He barely won too, only by 0.18%. This state has a dominate red congress right now. This could go either way. Driving around town there seems to be equal amounts of Obama to RR signs. And we all know that liberals flaunt politics WAY MORE than conservatives. Not good for the messiah.
Actually Reagans campaign director says tne real reason was they were close but nancy got spooked by a late poll and made them repoll florida i believe they only had money for the poll or ad campaign in MN. You didnt cross nancy so they did the poll won florida by a mile and barely lost the one state MN. It was within 3 but they jusy didnt have the cash and couldnt talk nancy down from the poll
lol. Thanks I needed a laugh today
We shall find out soon. 1 day 5 hours 59 minutes 23 seconds
actually it was a poll of CA that the washington post ran
if this was hail mary, they’d go for the weakest of the blue states and go all in.
instead they are making waves in PA, WI, MN and MI is close now, Obama can’t afford to losr any of them, do they are forced to defend them at a cost of focusing less on the swing states. RR just needs to win one of those or OH and its over. nic position to be in!e
Live_free – Why do you bother to post sentiments like that? Give it up!
Do we forget Mondale was Minnesota’s favorite son?
Something must going on at the liberal camp……Live free, bks, and peter p trolls are furious playing at battlegroundwatch………….Desperation is already setting in…lol.
Heck of a crowd for such a “blue” state!
In other news, today’s summary of Florida early voting in the Miami Herald (link below) indicates Dems have cast about 133,000 more ballots than Reps. However, that lead is 200,000 ballots less than it was in 2008 at the same point. Their own newspaper poll linked within the article shows Romney winning cross-overs and winning the overall early vote.

Florida election day GOP leads Dems by 8-11%
Ismthis a prediction or historical numbers that gop leads day of voting that much?
Any word on the numbers? It looks huge
I heard Axelrod and Stephanie Cutter barely speak to each other. These snakes will all point the finger of blame at others when their guy loses. This could be a real “celebrity death match” between the two of them on Wed. am.
Does anyone want to talk to Stephanie Cutter?
Yeah, since this the second presidential race she screwed up.
Looks good, feels good but seriously in a state with millions of voters, even 10000 at one rally in no way shape or form is indicitive of a win or even momentum.
Id bet if Romney had planned a rally in New York or LA you could get 10k republicans happy to have something to rally about
Actually it is not the crowd number, but Romney/Ryan will be on all the news networks in MN and it is supposed to be very close, so anything can happen.
Miniscule Obummer crowds are indicative….just sayin
True, albeit very pessimistic. Just don’t want to give up hope yet.
This is supposed to prove what? Romney has no chance of winning Ohio, let alone Minnesota. Can’t wait to viist the comments section on this site Nov 7th. Bet it will be a ghost town.
Many here are in for a major surprise. It will be shock and awe election night.
That’s the spirit
If nothing else a blind unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through
Someone sounds nervous!
Romney rally in PA shortly. http://www.c-span.org/Live-Video/C-SPAN/
Huge, huge crowd.
It sure does, was going to post the link, but you already have!
Any changes to Romney’s or Ryan’s travel schedule for Monday? Would likely indicate which states are sewn up, competitive, or out of reach.
Wow! 6500. Wasn’t this just an airport hangar stop?
Yep
how do they schedule events like this on such short notice? just curious. it seems like a logistics nightmare! especially if you are the president? Bush 41 spoke at my high school and the secret service was there literally for weeks prior securing it
We did one for Bush in 2000 in columbia. You arrange it through state director to national. Easiest is a quick airport in and out with a hangar owned by a supporter. Bush landed spoke to about 500-750 went out the backdoor and on the plane and out again.
You put it out throug local media, state and local campaign offices, supporters, donors, etc.
Was a blast. Like a sakd bush spoke to about 500-750 in missouri a state he won well. So this is pretty good turnout i just cannot force myself into optimism
Battle ground statea are easier because service has everywhere mapped out. Toward the end of the campiagns you see more airports because tney are very easy for secret servjce to secure, do screening etc. Especially in a state like MN with little campaign traffic
That’s pretty huge. Probably hardly anyone even knew about this event. And no one wants to go to MSP airport even if they were giving out money.
That’s impressive. I hope Ryan showed more energy on the stump.
You’ve said this a few times. Don’t worry. It hardly matters if he’s drawing these crowds. Who is going to show up and then change their mind because he’s not zippy enough?
Romney super-PACS ads all over Twin Cities TV. All in to turn MN red!!
“Minnesota, work with us, join with us. Together we can do this,” Ryan told a crowd of about 8,000 packed into a Sun Country Airlines hangar at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and an overflow audience of about 2,000 more listening to loudspeakers outside the building.
In 2010
The voters overwhelmingly gave Republicans the House to Stop him.
the most Liberal State in the Union (MA) gave the Republicans their 41 Senator: enough to Filibuster
In 2012
Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado, and Nevada (not exactly Rep. strongholds) will flip Red because as the old saying goes
“Fool Us Once…”
