In the second row we see Cincinnati Bengal Hall-of-Famer Anthony Munoz firing up the crowd for Romney. The second photo is the front view from the press riser looking at Romney. The third photo is the wrap-around crowd BEHIND the press riser to see Romney:

Amazing
Off topic: What is the state of the senate races right now for republicans?
they need to pick up three to make it … right now it is neck to neck
Ok. If republicans do not get 51, what hope is there of repealing ObamaTax? At least the employer and individual mandate? Is their another strategy for repeal that can be achieved with out the senate?
Mitt is peaking at the right time. It’s a shame that the Alinsky Media doesn’t show the American people the crowds Romney and Ryan have been drawing over the past three weeks.
He’s also picked up endorsements from John Elway, Anthony Munoz, and Kid Rock. The pop culture figures lend credibility to Romney with the undecideds, and they’ll start seeing him as the opposite of what the media and the DNC has been trying to paint him as.
Keith,
Have you found the size of the crowd at this rally? I’ve been looking all over the internet, and it’s interesting (but obvious) the size crowd is not being mentioned anywhere. Not in local or national media.
11K
Nevermind, I seen you just updated the page.
NO problem. The media is getting better at reporting crowd sizes and when they slip up the Romney campaign has been great about getting the #s out.
I saw Mitt speaking live on foxnews, it is amazing to see how energized those people are! Hopefully this will transfer to votes coming election day!
Also i live in florida, its strange that we haven’t seen any obama ads for few days now. As important as duval county florida is for election, it is definitely a sign that o is pulling out Florida, if he has not pulled out yet.
Very encouraging, looks like we’ll roll out at a very high level this time and win OHIO easily if this continues, which should seal an overall win.
It has a 2004 feel regarding turnout minus the gay marriage amendment on the ballot. This year it is BO. That year the dems were also running against an unpopular incumbent in many ways but the difference is one big glaring one. Romneys debate performance incorporated many conservative principals which really has fired up the base (plus an unpopular Obama). In 2004, Kerry was as exiting as white rice.
I was there! It was incredible! Romney for President!
Tell us your feeling. Will he win OHIO?
I am feeling good about Ohio.I was there as well.A yard sign isn’t an accurate poll, but if it was I would say Romney wins Ohio.I am just not seeing the O signsout Like in 2008,they were everywhere.I showed up 2hrs early and people were flooding in.Crazy.
very pretty town….
In the one photo you will see the Village Ice Cream Parlor to Romney’s right. That shop was used for filming the movies Harper Valley PTA with Barbara Eden in the 70′s and the movie Milk Money with Melanie Griffith in the 80′s. Another photo shows the Golden Lamb, Ohio’s oldest Inn. It is owned by the family of Sentator Rob Portman who was campaigning with Romney that day. It has been visited by 12 previous presidents, as well as many candidates along the way. Sarah Palin spoke there 4 years ago, as well as George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan in recent history. These are some of the reasons this place was probably chosen.

I was there way in the back watching on the jumbo screen… didn’t matter. I was just nice to be there surrounded by great Americans – young and old – cheering on a man with a better vision of what and who is the soul of this country. I pray each day more people see the truth and the clear decision to be made Nov 6th.
I just love that photo of Romney and the little boy. It’s a photo that should be plastered all over the front of newspapers. It speaks volumes about the candidate (who really does love children).
What do you make of that DEM PPP poll?
Garbage. http://battlegroundwatch.com/2012/08/21/one-more-reason-i-dont-blog-ppp-polls/
Sure, it is to keep the hopes up for the troops and discourage the Romney forces. Couple of things I noticed: Obama is up 2 from there last poll ( over a week ago ) to the magic number of 51. Who believes he is gaining on Romney? Couple of specifics. D+4 or 5. Romney leads on favoribity vs Obama 50/45 with indies and also with the economy 49/44. The other telling is the generic congressional pick. Assuming dems/repubs pick each other , indies pick repubs 37/27. So, another example of a probable 1 point poll either way…massaged a bit to make it 4.
To make a PPP pole reasonable add 3 to the GOPer and substract 3 from the Dem.
What kills me is that RCP includes them. I know they include R “leaning” groups but when was the last time you saw one. Had to be in the summer.
That’s why I stay away from RCP. Too much bogus crap. Plus they should put a weighted average of the poll, not your standard arithmetic average. A poll with a sample size of 2000 should have twice weight of a size of 1000.
Looks like Obama is desperate for big Ohio crowds.

I went to Lebanon for McCain in 2008. The crowd was a fourth of what it is for Romney. Obama won Ohio by 4.5%. Romney will win Ohio. I’m 100% sure of this.
I love that it looks like they closed down the town for the rally. Where in the world did all those people park their cars? Romney’s crowds have been amazing. Imagine if each person got 2 more people to vote for Mitt.
They had a shuttle service running from the nearby fairgrounds. My brother and I got there at 3pm for the 5:15 rally and were close enough to shake his hand afterwards. I got a huge kick out of the fact that the TSA was doing the check-in security.
Can you believe this, they were teasing a pretty close result one night
I was there up close and one of the most touching things I saw was that he spent at least 3 minutes chatting one on one with a young, disabled man. Like there was no one there but them. It was inspirational and when they finished, the young man was just BEAMING! BTW…Damien, As a recent transplant, all I can say is that Lebanon is beautiful and a wonderful place to raise a family.
some yahoo on Silver’s 538 site is claiming he was there and the media is hyping it, no more than 1,000 there. The rest were staffers and security. LOL DESPERATION
I was there in the crowd behind the media tent you see in the middle, watching the large screen monitor you see the back of in the one photo. We got there about 1-1/2 hours before the 5:15 start time and the first city block was already full. I don’t know about the actual numbers, but you had to buy and present tickets which were bar code scanned, so there was probably a pretty good count of at least the number of tickets sold and probably also those scanned on site and cleared through the TSA checkpoint. Tickets only became available on two days before the event, so I that was a lot to process in less than 2 days.
Lebanon is the county seat overwhelmingly voted for McCain in the last election and is a very conservative county overall. I can’t even remember the last time a Democrat was elected to a county office. I can assure anyone that people didn’t need to be coerced into attending this rally, and I know many of those I saw as local citizens of the county, or from neighboring Butler, Hamilton (Cincinnati), and Montgomery (Dayton) counties. The only indication of any protest I saw was a guy in a Big Bird costume outside the checkpoint handing out flyers, and one small Obama sign in the second floor of a downtown building window. At the end, I saw several people posing for photos with the Fox News satellite truck which was right around the corner from the NBC truck. Hand made signs were listed as prohibited, but i did take a photo of one that said “USA has hit Barack Bottom, Good News, Only 4 more weeks”. It got lots of photos and thumbs up from the crowd.
Here is the speech given at this site:
