Normally when Pittsburgh plays Philadelphia I might normally root for the blimp to crash into the stadium as I have no love for either franchise. But today’s game had special significance. According to Selena Zito of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review:
Since 68 Steelers/Eagles winner in game year of election has picked winner. GOP for steelers and Dems for Eagles.

And on the field?
The Pittsburgh Steelers squeaked by the Philadelphia Eagles 16-14 Sunday afternoon, winning the game on a 34-yard Shaun Suisham field goal as time expired.

In 2000, Eagles won, though it did go to OT. And before that they met every 3 years, so it really is not very impressive.
No match in ’96 or ’92 and Eagles won in 1988.
Was staying at a hotel outside Philly last night, and saw an Obama ad. Pretty surprised that he is airing in PA this week.
