The ever biased Sara Burnett in the Denver Post reports on Romney’s visit Tuesday to Grand Junction, Colorado:
Gov. Mitt Romney will hold a campaign rally Tuesday morning in Grand Junction, the GOP stronghold where Republicans just opened their newest “Victory Center.” The event, titled “Town Hall with Mitt Romney and the Republican Team” is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Central High School. Doors open at 9 a.m. and attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
Romney will be in Colorado Monday night for an Aspen fundraiser. It is possible a second event will be added for later in the day Tuesday, but as of this morning details have not been finalized.
His previous campaign stops have included Fort Lupton and Craig. In both stops, the former Massachusetts governor focused his remarks largely on energy policy and the impact on jobs. Energy is also a big issue in Mesa County, where Grand Junction is located. At 9.0 percent in May, it also has one of the highest unemployment rates in Colorado (where the state rate was 8.2 percent in May) giving Romney a backdrop to discuss – and hit President Obama on – both energy and the economy, as he has on previous stops.
I’ve edited out here snide comments embedded in the write-up but it really gets tiresome reading so many lefties posting as “news” reporters.
